Marie-Claude Najm is “Agrégée des facultés françaises de droit”, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut, and former Minister of Justice of Lebanon. She served for many years as Visiting Professor at Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II) and Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I), Director of the Centre of Legal Studies and Research for the Arab World (CEDROMA- USJ), and President of the Private Law Department. Professor Najm is also a member of the Beirut Bar and works as a legal consultant mainly in the field of private international law.
