Soraya Corm-Bakhos, a French qualified lawyer, is an independent arbitrator based in Dubai. After twenty years of experience in major law firms first in Paris and since 2008 in Dubai, Soraya now dedicates herself to her practice as arbitrator. During her career in private practice, Soraya has represented clients in numerous international arbitrations in a variety of industry sectors including energy, transport and infrastructure. Soraya sits as arbitrator (chair, co-arbitrator and sole arbitrator) under all major institutional rules (ICC, LCIA, DIFC-LCIA, BCDR, arbitrateAD) and in ad hoc cases in in disputes mainly related to construction, real estate, sale and purchase agreements, joint venture agreements and general commercial disputes. She is a member of the LCIA Arab User’s Council and has been appointed to serve as a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Soraya regularly speaks at conferences and has authored numerous publications in the field of arbitration.
