Bassam Mirza is qualified to practice law in both France and Lebanon. Based in Paris, he regularly sits as arbitrator whether as president, co-arbitrator, or sole arbitrator. With over 20 years of experience in international arbitration and complex cross-border disputes, he has practiced in prominent international law firms including Linklaters and Gide Loyrette Nouel before establishing his own practice in Paris and Beirut (PKM avocats).

Bassam is an ICC France listed arbitrator and is a member of the ICC Task Force on addressing issues of corruption in international arbitration. He is also a member of the Administrative Committee of the Lebanese and International Arbitration Center.

Bassam is recognized by Who’s Who Legal Arbitration as a leader in his field having an “outstanding legal knowledge” and as “a great arbitrator who prepares his cases carefully”.
